We, Dax Engineering Co. (Pvt) Ltd, also known as DAX, provide engineering solutions to Government and Private Institutions in Sri Lanka and Maldives. Since the establishment in 1984, we have been in the business of supplying and servicing Industrial Machinery, Construction and Mining Equipment to all industries in Sri Lanka as well as Maldives Islands.
As the Founder and Managing Director of Dax Engineering Co. (Pvt) Ltd, Mr S.S.Wijayasinghe has an extensive Engineering and Managerial experience in Sri Lanka as well as with Multinational Corporations leading dedicated teams. Under his guidance and the supervision, the company has grown to be a reliable solution provider for the Construction and Mining industries.
Dax Engineering first started its journey as the sole agent for Ingersoll-Rand Industrial Air Compressors and Construction Equipment in Sri Lanka. Subsequently, the company was selected by the world’s most-renowned brands as their sole agents, diversifying the company into construction and mining sectors. Today, the company markets premium brands to our esteemed customers with a dedicated and superior aftermarket support which is our biggest strength.

We are supported by a well-experienced workforce of approximately 50 employees including a factory trained Technical Staff at our dedicated Workshop in Pitipana and the branch in Anuradhapura.

The strong & continues team work
Commencement of operations as the authorized distributors in Sri Lanka for Ingersoll-Rand (IR) Air Compressors, Construction and Mining Equipment manufactured by Ingersoll-Rand Company, USA. This was the beginning of our journey.
Establishment of head office in Colombo.
Introduction of BOBCAT Utility Equipment & attachments in Sri Lanka, manufactured by Ingersoll-Rand Company USA.
Selling of first VOLVO Construction Equipment in Sri Lanka and subsequently appoints DAX as the authorized dealer for Sri Lanka by VOLVO CE.
Establishment of the Associated Company -Next International (Pvt) Ltd, the leading supplier in Sri Lanka for Industrial Machinery and Equipment.
Atlas Copco AB acquires Ingersoll-Rand (IR) Drilling & Mining Equipment business and since then DAX continues to be the authorized dealer in Sri Lanka for Atlas Copco, now ‘Epiroc’ Drilling & Mining Equipment.
Doosan Infracore in Korea acquires the Ingersoll-Rand’s Portable Air Compressors division and forms the Doosan Portable Power business group. And since then the DAX is in a business partnership with Doosan Infracore and continues to be the authorized dealer in Sri Lanka for Doosan Air Compressors, Light Towers, Light Compaction and etc.
Establishment of new branch in Anuradhapura.
Shandong Lingong Construction Machinery Co. Ltd in China, the manufacturer of SDLG Construction Equipment such as Backhoe Loaders, Compactors, Motor Graders, Wheel Loaders and Excavators appoints DAX as the authorized dealer for Sri Lanka.
Establishment of our fully equipped workshop in Pitipana.
Commencement of operations of Atlas Copco Drilling & Mining Equipment under the trademark “Epiroc”.

As a result of all the hard work of our workforce, DAX enjoys a dominant position specialized in Construction and Mining Equipment markets in Sri Lanka as a franchisee for world-renowned VOLVO, DOOSAN, SDLG and EPIROC brands while honoring our promise for top-of-the-line products and superior service to our esteemed customers.
Our operations include Sales, Parts Sales, Rentals, Maintenance and Repairs of above equipment and providing mobile service facilities to our customers.
In 1984, we began our journey with Ingersoll-Rand (IR) as the one and only dealer in Sri Lanka for Industrial and Portable Air Compressors, BOBCAT Utility Equipment & attachments and General-purpose Road Machinery. Since the acquisition of Ingersoll-Rand (IR) Drilling division by Atlas Copco, we became the authorized dealer in Sri Lanka for Atlas Copco Drilling and Mining Equipment. Subsequently, after acquiring the Road Machinery business unit of Ingersoll-Rand (IR) by Volvo CE, DAX continues to be the authorized dealer for all their machinery and equipment in Sri Lanka.
In 2016, we could become the sole agent in Sri Lanka for SDLG Construction Equipment, proving in Sri Lanka that reliable performance is not expensive to build.
And then we continue our journey with the superior support extended by our principles fueling the ever changing aspirations of our prestige customers and enhancing our knowledge base proactively to meet the future technological advancements in the industry that we serve as a purely Sri Lankan Company.
